- 06:13, What can runners do to past the time of long runs, music can only go so far, and I’m sick of my own thoughts after just half a mile.
- I fully understand, if your training long distance on a treadmill. But for a lot of runners, being alone in your head and dealing with this in flow of thoughts, good and bad. Is sometimes better than meditation. My advice, Shut up and Run! Deal with your own mind, learn to love the run.
- 10:10, Same question, about being bored during the run. If you get bored of running, try another sport. Maybe running is not your thing!

I failed my first attempt at running 100 kms. I made some mistakes, no doubt. But my biggest mistake was not being mentally prepared.
After being in the Army, I thought, I would have the mental toughness in the bag. But I was wrong. I let the negative thoughts override my desire to finish.
Like my advice to the runners above. Next time, I will shut up and run.
