Day 13 of 14, one day to go!
On the 29th I will change up my training program.
When writing up a new training plan I always keep the end goal in mind. My goal is twofold because without one the other is almost impossible.
My Health Goals
- Run the Northface 100km in Thailand, 2024,
- Maintain body weight around 72kgs.
My training is roughly based on the running 100kms guide from marathonhandbook.com.
To run 100kms I will time on my feet. My body needs to get used to being on my feet for hours on end. But to do that I will need to rebuild my core strength.
I don’t want to spend any money on weights etc right now, so I will follow the videos on bodyweight training and stretching, plus add in some skipping to make the workout about 60mins long.
5 and 2 splits.
The training includes 4 days running of short distances plus 1 long run per week. The great part of this training routine is I get 2 days off. But I’m going to follow the 20mins stretch video on those days because I want to exercise every day and my body is super tight after having 2 years off!
