Constant and Never Ending Improvement
The Goal
Run The North Face 100km in Thailand, February 2020.
Training Update
The count down is on, serious training starts in July!
For the last few months I have been trialling a few different training techniques and types of equipment. In preparation for the North Face 100 km trail run.
Hydration Vest
I settled on the Nathan Vapor Air 2.0.
About 50 km’s plus run so far and nothing but pure pleasure.
For sizing go bigger than you normally would.
I have the L-XXXL size and that’s opened to it’s maximum which is perfect for me. (172cm and 80kg)

Trail Running Shoes
I can’t go past the Hoka One One, Challenger ATR 5 Mesh.
I have trained over 250 kms in these shoes, which includes 60 plus kms on the road and they still look brand new!

Lightweight Quick Dry Shirts
When running anything over 10 kms the climalite running shirt is the only shirt I will wear.
We all know there is nothing worse than chaffing. So for the details but I have serious enough chaffing that bleeding was constant.

Techfit Running Shorts
Again due to chaffing compression shorts are a must. They are plenty of great shorts on the market. But Adidas Techfit is such a long lasting short that I’m happy to stay with them.
